Banmuseet is The Swedish National Rail Administration's museum and is situated next to Banskolan, the Railway Training Centre in Ängelholm. Banmuseet shows how our railways were built and how railway technology has developed through the years.Exhibits at the museum, part of which is housed in a 100-year old engine shed, include a 300-year old railway wagon from a mine in Bergslagen, several model railways, an inspection coach built in 1866, various trolleys, signals, telephones and and a very large number of large and small objects from railway history. .

Chemin de Fer de La Mure

A metre-gauge Alpine electric railway built to link the standard gauge railway at Saint Georges de Commiers with coal mines around the town of La Mure, now operated entirely as a tourist line. Saint Georges de Commiers is easily accessible by car, bus or train from the nearby city of Grenoble, but seats on trains must be booked in advance by telephone, at Saint Georges de Commiers station, or at the central Grenoble tourist office. The two-hour journey runs through spectacular scenery along the Drac valley, above a lake created for a hydroelectric scheme, and then up into the foothills of the Alps, with French-language commentary and photo stops. Most trains are hauled by vintage electric locomotives built for the line in the 1930s. No steam, but highly recommended for enthusiasts of mountain railways and/or early electrics.

Estonian Railway Museum is located in the Emperor's Pavillon of the historic Haapsalu railway station. Locomotives and railcars belonging to the museum are exhibited behind the station building and can be visited free of charge. Museum is open 10-18 all year round from Wednesday to Sunday. Discount of 10% is available for groups over 25 people.

The railway museum Bochum Dahlhausen and the museum course in the Ruhr valley. Apart from the receipt of structural facilities and the vehicle collection a further important goal is reproaching ready for operation of locomotives and cars. At present two steam engines belong and several diesel locomotives and motor coaches to the existence ready for operation of the museum. From April to November the museum course operates with a steam locomotive in each case on first Sunday in the month on 18 km is enough for museum distance from Hattingen/Ruhr to whom gladly east and back.

Finland - Jokioinen Museum Railway

Jokioinen Museum Railway is the only remaining railway out of the 13 privately owned Finnish narrow gauge lines opened for common carrier service. Opened for traffic in 1898 the railway has bee operating more than 100 years. Scheduled steam trains are run on summer Sundays in June, July and August. Groups can charter their own steam trains. The trains are diesel hauled in wintertime from October to April. The Museum Railway and Narrow Gauge Museum are closed during the winter season from the beginning of September to the beginning of June. We hope to see You at the Jokioinen Museum Railway!

The Finnish Railway Museum is a national special museum, which furthers museum activities concerning railway history and takes care of the co-operation between museums working in this field. The Railway Museum was founded in 1898. Originally, it was located at various premises of the Railway Station in Helsinki, and it was transferred in 1974 to Hyvinkää to the station and depot area of the former Hanko-Hyvinkää railway. The Mission Statement of the Deutsches Dampflokomotiv-Museum (Union of the German Steam Locomotiv Museum) is to preserve and extend the museum, to encourage the preservation of the historial locomotive scenery surrounding the museum and to arous public interst for this establishment.
