Trains leave during the summertime each Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Currently a 7 mile round trip, it takes about an hour. A ride through the rolling hills of Woodford County reveals horse farms, cattle farms, antique railroad cars, and various aspects of nature. A walk through our Depot/Museum will reveal informative and interesting bits of Kentucky Railroad History.

Travel in antique passenger cars through central Kentucky thoroughbred horse country. Tour trains scheduled every Saturday and Sunday from Mid May through October at 2pm. Charters by request. Special event schedule listed on the website. Museum and gift shop open weekends noon to 4pm. Outdoor exhibits open year round. Non-profit and all volunteer, our operation is funded exclusively from passenger revenue. An entertaining and educational family friendly experience.

One of the newest interactive Train Museums in existence, the Historic Railpark Museum is dedicated to telling the story of the L&N railroad from 1859-1962. The self-guided museum is highlighted by a model railroad exhibit, over 20 display and galleries and a small theater with short movies on various cultural and historical events of interest. Then enjoy a guided tour through our collection of railcars including a Pullman Diner, Pullman Sleeper, Post Office car, and the oldest existing car on the L&N - the 1911 Presidential car.

Located in the Heartland of Kentucky, the Kentucky Railway Museum is one of the oldest rail museums in the United States. Founded in Louisville in 1954, KRM now owns 17 miles of the ex-Louisville & Nashville Lebanon branch with operating headquarters in New Haven, KY and a passenger boarding area in Boston, KY. Kentucky Railway Museum, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization chartered in the Commonwealth of Kentucky for the purpose of education of the public regarding the history and heritage of Kentucky's railroads and the people who built them through the acquisition, restoration, preservation, display, and operation of the rail equipment and artifact. As such, it is funded and sustained by our visitors and members and we earnestly solicit and encourage your participation as a member and volunteer.
