| The Museum operates from May to September each year. Tour Groups are more than welcome when they make reservations. The Facilities are NOT wheelchair accessable.The museum is currently considering merging with a community museum group that began last year in Argyle. The museum will continue to opperate accepting visitors & donations as usuall. This merger will not effect our vision and interest in showcasing Railway, general store & blacksmith artifacts. |

| Dedicated to the conservation and presentation of local heritage, all artifacts and displays relate either directly or indirectly to people of this area and portray their way of life in the early days. Owned and operated by the Rural Municipality of Portage la Prairie, the museum is open for visitors and tourist information from early May to mid-September. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. An ideal venue for picnics, family socials, wedding and guided costumed tours; or just a nice place to spend away from home with a good friend. |

The Museum is becoming very popular with tour groups of all ages and many couples are choosing the Museum to have their wedding pictures taken. WINTER HOURS begin September 7th - the Museum is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 4 p.m. |
