I've been a RR enthusiast almost all my life.``I've been to many well known and high profile RR museums in the Northeast, Southeast, Mid-continent (St. Louis) and California including Sacramento. I've seen famous steam and Diesel locos and other equipment, HOWEVER, AT THE ELGIN RR MUSEUM IS THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN A 4-6-4 HUDSON. WHAT -A- THRILL. It's worth the trip just for the Hudson, however, the rest of the exibits are the icing on the cake. ``

The historical progression of one-person vehicles, from scooter to gas-jitney, is interesting. The variety of very old, old, and nearly modern locomotives and passenger cars is educational, and the ongoing projects to keep rolling stock rolling are heartening. As tracks disappear, this museum becomes more and more important in Ontario's history. Visit this place!
