My visit was about 8 years ago on a Summer weekday to the Museum - had to cab it out from downtown Montreal and found the local bus line for my return trip. ````Go on a cool day but do go! As for it being copied after the Pennsylvania Rail Museum in Strasburg - I am not sure of that - believe it pre-dates the beautiful Strasburg

a suprising collection of locos and rail cars, is a standard that most mueseums would be tough to match. don't miss the warehouses of roling stock and 30s era track inspection vehicle

An outstanding collection of locomotives, railway rolling stock and streetcars that brings Canadian history alive. Fortunately most of the collection is now protected from the elements. This rail museum ranks with those in York (England) and New Delhi (India) among the world's best.
