Ellis, KS is a town made up many Eastern European immigrants; I'm related to many of them. Taking in the Railroad museum was an eye-opening experience for me, never having seen a railroad museum before, and juxtaposed with family history and impressive donations by local citizens. I wish that the museum could have greater preservation measures for artifacts and photos. It's housed in a two story building, and there is a child-sized diesel train that runs outside during certain times of the year.
