The Frisco Railroad Museum is no longer in operation, having closed in January, 2003. The museum collection has been purchased by a private individual and will not be available for public display.

If it wasn't for the Frisco Rail Museum the Frisco Railroad you could believe that the Frisco Railroad never existed, for few traces of it remain out side of the railroad. The Frisco RR dominated the countryside and kept families and friends connected for years. I wish we still had it.

The Railroad Historical Museum is open in Grant Beach Park and is a great place to visit and it has free admission. They have hundreds of artifacts and many hands on things for the kids to do. They are also next to a swimming pool and picnic area in the park. There website is: rrhistoricalmuseum.zoomshare.com

The Frisco museum is no longer in operation. The contents were sold. The only Railroad museum in Springfield MO. in the Railroad Historical Museum located in Grant Beach Park. Admission is free.
