Disappointing. For the entry fee paid the exhibits are few and unexciting. The ride is hardly a mile.

26 mile line from Rusk to Palestine in East Texas. 4 operating steam locomotives, 4-6-0, 2-8-0, 2-8-2, 4-6-4. Two passenger stations, locomotive and car restoration facility, over 60 pieces of historic rolling stock. If you like trains, well worth the trip. Spring and Fall are best times to visit. Owned and operated by the state of Texas - Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.

Traveled in October 2003 and the parks staff and reenactors were very fun and friendly. Nice accomodations and great fall scenery. Highly recommend this for the whole family!

I watched the program on tv that showed the museum and the trains that is available to ride and I just loved it. I can't wait to bring my family to this museum.My kids and husband and I love trains,Its nice for old trains to be running again.
