Nice. Generally consists of NYC and PRR equipment although other RR's are there. Nicely refurbished station with a nice collection of artifacts.```` Good trainwatching location of CSX (NYC) mainline from Buffalo to Erie.

Rating : 5 star. A 1940's station in time , 9-Feb-2004
Reviewer: Pat Tarasovitch from Erie, Pa
As a rail buff and World War 2 reenactor this is a great museum. Being on the main line with CSX and NS there is allot of trains to see. There railcar and locomotive collection is impressive for a small area.``With most of the stock and the station still 1940ish looking it is a scene from our past.

Rating : star. A crowded display , 24-May-2004

Closed during weekdays, Lake Shore museum's stock is crowded into three tracks by the station. Photography is difficult as stock is buffered up close. ``the station buolding and platform are superb and the unusual narrow gauge shunyter was new to me.``Fureless lpcp unusual and some nice restored pieces.``Indoor display of minor items with a 7 1/2

Rating : 5 star. Very nice use of limited space! , 18-Jul-2004
Reviewer: rayg from PA
Very nice buildings and rolling stock ALL taken care of by volunteers and donations. Friendly people and helpful and informative guides. Space is limited, but they make good use of it. Fireless Heisler loco and NYC U25b loco. A couple smaller industrial locos too. Lots of Pullmans. They're open Wed-Sun in summer, weekends before Mem.Day and after Labor Day until end of Oct. Special events and excursions too. Great place to bring a lawn chair, camera and Coke to just watch trains!
