This museum has some thing for everyone. I went with my father (who worked for the railroad his entire life) and my children down to 4 yr old. My father was very impressed and my children enjoyed virtually every minute of it. Well worth the time.

The National Railroad Museum has an excellent library, which includes many resources including photographs, maps, and other railroad related items. Well worth the visit!

Grew up going to this museum about every year, hadn’t been in 10+ years when went back in 2003. Was really impressed with new train shed. The Big Boy next to the GG-1 is great. Still had great access to equipment. 65-year-old father liked, 4 & 7 yr. old boys loved.

Our 3 yr old son loves trains so on a recent trip back the Appleton area to visit my grandmother we decided to take a quick trip to green bay and see the museum. It was well worth it and plan on coming back next time we are in the area. Our son loved it when he got to ride up front. Glad we spent the extra for that experience and will definitely do it again.
