Their name Ghost Train should also be given to this unique museum as it still looked people where still working there even though they have been gone for years. What a place and very unique. A place everyone should visit.````Chris````

This railroad built in 1905 to haul copper ore and was given to White Pine County when Kennecott Copper shut down in 1987. This is a true step back in time with the railway using steam and diesel engines purcchased by the NN. You can even rent the steam engine or diesel and take them out on the main line. Runs 6 days a week. Steam on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Diesel every day except Tuesdays when RY closed.

Passing through tunnels behind a coal eatin’ steam belching beast is “Duvallesque” moment. Close your eyes (and you may have to) and you can imagine his nostrils flare as he romanticizes the smell of “sulfur in the morning”. $20 ride-good deal. $95 two hour cab ride is a no brainier. Bless them for not converting this coal beast to oil.

we visited the railroad whilst on vacation it was well worth it with friendly staff and some stunning scenery i would recommend a visit to any one i know ``
